DR KNOX MIDDLE SCHOOL ADDITION

The expansion of École Dr. Knox Middle School involved reconfiguring some current spaces and adding 12 new classrooms to accommodate the school’s growth from 800 to 1,100 students. This included revamping areas like the music and food rooms and staying within budget while improving other school features. The two-story extension, connected to the school’s core via a bridge, features a rectangular roof, modern materials, an updated color scheme, and large windows, complementing the existing structure and preserving key outdoor areas.

Additionally, this expansion allows for a potential future extension, facilitating the school’s potential transformation into a secondary school to meet the needs of Kelowna’s expanding population.
